Abstract

The Britain,along with many countries all over the world,generally carried out the pubic service reform since 1980's. It deals with,firstly,cutting the number of the Civil Service,conducting Efficiency Scrutiny,practicing FMI and the Next Step,then,publishing Citizen Charter and implementing Market Testing. With the reform,the Civil Service is gradually taken a new look.
