The Experience of Clinical Pathway in Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery of Orthopedic

Objective To summarize the experience of clinical pathway in hip and knee replacement surgery of orthopedic.Methods 102 patients with hip and knee replacement surgery were selected in our hospital from November 2009 to December 2010,and they were randomly divided into control group and experimental group according to the order of admission.The control group was given the traditional model while the experimental group was implemented clinical pathway based on the traditional model.Collected the data of the hospital stay time,medical expenses,the first time of getting out of bed after the surgery,the first time of functional exercise after the surgery,complications and the satisfaction,then compared the differences between the two groups.Results All aspects of the data showed that implementation of clinical path in the experimental group were significantly better than the advantage of the control group.Conclusion The effect of clinical pathway in hip and knee replacement surgery of orthopedic is good,and it is worth to promote in clinical.
