An inquiry into the current status and development trend of preventive treatment of disease and health management

Preventive Treatment of Disease has similarities with modern health management model.It is based on the traditional notion of Chinese medicine 'prevention first'.It is a holistic medical approach that aims to prevent and control diseases,to improve the quality of life,and to focus on factors related to life style of both individuals and groups and carry out detection,assessment and intervention accordingly.Literature on Preventive Treatment of Disease and health management published in recent years were collected and reviewed in order to provide a model of health management with Chinese characteristics.
