Abstract
Since the nano TiO 2, as a photocatalyst, can effectively degrade pollutants which are harmful to the environment and can mineralize the harmful pollutants to CO 2, H 2O and other small molecules, the photocatalytic degradation of organic contaminant is considered as an emerging while promising technology for waste water treatment. The preparation of nanosized TiO 2, the mechanism, kinetics principle, current research situation and development tendency of photocatalytic degradation of organic contaminant in waste water were all described. The improvement of nano TiO 2 photocatalyst was also introduced.
