Abstract

In the Ming and Qing Dynasty and owing to the strong influence of Han culture,filial piety became a popular theme in Bai folk literature.These literary works have absorbed some elements of Han culture and revealed a somewhat different value orientation.The theme of filial piety in Bai folk literature reveals not only the direct connection between Bai culture and Han culture but also the complicated mechanism of cultural transmission and inheritance.
