Review on Eco-city Theory

Abstract

Different eco-city connotations were compartmentalized into three kinds:environment theory,ideal theory and system theory.Characteristics of eco-city were summed up.Homology and dissimilarity among eco-city and sustainable city,green city,garden city,healthy city,landscape city were discriminated.Evolution of eco-city theory was summarized.Some suggestions and discussion were put forward for future research of eco-city.
