Abstract

The research about the embrgotoxicity of anticoagulant rodenticides, diphacineNa,on norway rat (Rattus norvegicus) was carried out in laboratory from March 1998 through May 1999.At the same time,a experimental region and a contradistinctive region were set up in the breeding pig farm of Jinhua. The apple baits with 0.002 5% concentration of bromadiolone were put in experimental region for a week in April 1998.The species composition and the density variety of small mammals were investigated monthly. The results obtained indicated that the diphacineNa has abortive effects on test rodents. The density variety of R. norvegicus before poison baits set makes no difference between the experimental region and the contradistinctive region, and that the monthly density variety of R. norvegicus in the experimental region after poison baits set is all lower than that in the contradistinctive region.Anticoagulant rodenticides have the disturbfertility effect on R. norvegicus.There is notable effect in controlling the density of rodents.
