Abstract

In order to provide heat load both for winter heating and process devices,a natural gas purification plant needs to establish a heating system.According to the demand of user side,a steam-boiler heating system or a heat-conducting oil heating system can be employed for the plant. From investment,operation,management and maintenance,a scheme comparison between two heating systems was carried out in this paper.The heat-conduction oil heating system has the advantages of low operation and maintenance costs.It does not need water and can be installed outdoors.The heat conducting oil has a low pour point and is suitable for the local cold weather conditions.The heat-conducting oil heating system was thus recommended for the plant,and the heating scheme was presented in detail.
