Abstract

Wang Guowei’s Renjian Cihua has five pieces of comments on Li Yu’s poetry. The comments show the connotations of the emotion and the philosophy of Li Yu’s poetry, excavating their deep and broad lyrical realm, the artistic charm, the root, and the origin. From what Wang Guowei has explained, we can find that the tragic sense becomes more apparent in Li’s poetry, which helps to establish Li’s unique and outstanding position in the Chinese poetry field.
