Clinical approach for opening maxillary sinus and retaining hamular process.

Objective The approach for opening maxillary sinus,retaining hamular process,and protecting the physiological function of accessory nasal cavity and nasal cavity.Methods Sharing 25 cases of chronic maxillary sinusitis into experimental group and control group.The left hand is experimental group,right hand is control group.Experimental group open maxillary sinus and retain hamular process under nasal endoscopy,Control group open maxillary sinus and cut hamular process.Results We follow up the 25 cases of chronic maxillary sinusitis at least 6 months,hamular process of experimental group retain normal anatomic form,ostium of maxillary sinus is easy and smooth,membrana mucosa of maxillary sinus is normal,0° nasal endoscopy can't look steadily at the ostium of maxillary sinus.Ostium of maxillary sinus of control group is easy and smooth too,0° nasal endoscopy can look steadily at it.Conclusion The operation to open maxillary sinus and retain hamular process can avoid air current directly strike accessory nasal cavity and membrana mucosa syncretio,we can get the same effect of the two modus operandi.
