Abstract

The polarization state of the reflected light is discussed based on Fresnel formula when linearly polarized light is incident on the boundary in different angle under the condition of internal reflection. It is found that the reflected light is linearly polarized light and the vibration direction changes generally with incidence angle i1 increasing from zero to critical angle, the reflected light is left-handed elliptically polarized light when ici190°,and the reflected light becomes linearly polarized light when i1 equals 90°.
