A Review of Urban-Rural Integration in China Since 1980

The research on the city and countryside integration in China can be divided into two phases: the primary phase,from 1980 to 1999,the contemporary and developing phase,since the 21st century.In the primary phase,researches focus on the connotation,driving force and realization of the city and countryside integration.In the contemporary phase,the research contents include the theory,ways to carry it out,valuation,management system and integration planning of the city and countryside integration.In light with the review,some points are proposed,which should be paid attention to in the future: evaluation of the city and countryside integration,constructing the management system in order to make sure the coordinated development of the city and countryside,research on the ecological environment integration of the city and countryside and how to cope with the lack of master during the new rural construction.
