Abstract

Interferon γ2 gene (DuIFN γ2) was cloned from total RNA derived from ConA stimulating cultured spleen T Cells of Peking duck by a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR). Sequencing the gene showed that the length of the DuTFN γ2 gene was identical with the published duck IFN γ gene (AF087134) with 497 nucleotide acids which can code a mature protein with 145 amino acids, speculating its molecular weight 17 ku. The homology of the nucleotide acids of the both genes was 99.6% and the identity of their amino acids was 98.6% iwubg to 2 sites nutation but the identity of the DuIFN γ2 gene and other birds and human was 67.0%—68.0% and 34.4%, respectively.
