Discussion on Urban Green Space Index of Garden City

Based on practical remote sensing evaluation of Garden City,problems of existing urban green space index on classification standard and evaluation method were discussed,and suggestions were proposed to unify and perfect the urban green space index evaluation method,to add the accessorial indexes which can show the composition,configuration and function of urban green space,and to enrich the urban green space index of Garden City.Finally the future comprehensive evaluation index system of urban afforesting and greening was prospected,combining with remote sensing technology applied in urban green space planning,construction and administration.
