Abstract

Objective To evaluate left ventricular(LV)long-axis regional diastolic function in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM)patients with real-time triplane strain rate imaging. Methods Totally 37 HCM patients(HCM group)and 42age-matched healthy subjects as control group were enrolled.Early diastolic peak strain and late diastolic peak strain rate(SRe and SRa)at basal and middle segments in different LV walls were measured with real-time triplane stain rate imaging. The statistical analysis was performed. Results SRe,SRa and SRe/SRa of all wall in HCM group were significant lower than those of in control group(all P0.05).SRe,SRe/SRa at basal, middle segment of interventricular septum and anterior wall were significantly lower than those of posterior wall in HCM group(all P0.05).Conclusion Real-time triplane strain rate imaging can get quantitative analysis LV long-axis diastolic function quickly and objectively in HCM patients.
