Abstract
Objective:To observe the effects of misoprostol on reduction of postpartum bleeding in cesarean section. Methods:Three hundred patients underwent cesarean section, which have the risk factors of postpartum bleeding were randomized into misoprostol with oxytocin group(150 cases) and oxytocin group(150 cases).Oxytocin(20 IU) was injected into the body of uterus meanwhile misoprostol(0.2 mg)was given by sublingually in the observation group after delivery of fetus,.The patients of control group had the oxytocin(20 IU) injected into the body of uterus. The amount of bleeding within 24 hours after delivery was measured. Results:The difference in the amount of bleeding between the two groups were significant(P0.05).Conclusion:Misoprostol combined with oxytocin is very effective in reduction of postpartum bleeding patients underwent cesarean section.
