Abstract

Objective:To compare the diagnostic efficiency of three-dimensional ultrasonography and two-dimensional ultrasound in diagnosing congenital didelphus uterus by receiver operative characteristic(ROC) curve.Methods:Two-dimensional ultrasonography and three-dimensional ultrasonography multi-plane imaging were performed in 45 cases of dubious congenital didelphus uterus.Various given indicators were observed. The results were compared with hysteroscopy/celioscopy or hysterosalpingography. The areas under ROC curve of the two kinds ultrasonic imaging were compared using SPSS 13.0 statistic software. Results:The areas under ROC curve of two-dimensional ultrasound and three-dimensional ultrasonography with coronal plane were separately 0.712 and 0.928.Z value was equal to 2.051 through Z test and P=0.04.It showed that three-dimensional ultrasonography may precede two-dimensional ultrasound.Conclusion:Three-dimensional ultrasonography and two-dimensional ultrasound can both make correct diagnosis of congenital didelphus uterus.Three-dimensional ultrasonography coronal plane imaging is more reliable than two-dimensional ultrasonography in diagnosis of congenital didelphus uterus.
