Abstract
The study was made on the geographical distribution and biological and ecological property of Q.variabilis population.The results showed that:(1) Q.variabilis had strong fitness and was one of the most widely distributed trees;the altitude spectrum varied greatly and the upper limit increased from north to south,and from east to west;(2) the over ground part of the seedling grew slowly while the root system developed quickly;(3) the sexual and asexual reproduction of Q.variabilis were significantly influenced by human disturbance and asexual reproduction played an important role in the forest renewal while the sexual reproduction was the basis of genetic diversity maintenance and abundance;(4) Q.variabilis was sunny plant and didnt specially require the temperature,rainfall and soil condition;(5) through the Cluster Analysis of Importance Value of dominant populations,the communities that Q.variabilis inhabited could be divided into 6 types.
