Abstract
Through the methods of expert interview, mathematical statistics and literature review, the track and field scientific research thesis published in 11 sports key periodicals from 1998 to 2002 are classified and statistically divided. The paper analyzes the current situation of the development and some law characteristics that track and field sports study to distribution and relation during that time of data. The result shows that the subsidy project of the fund is the main factor that restrains the development of track and field; the basic human body scientific research is less; it is unfavorable to rationally develop and improve the level of track and field in China; there is not initiative development on the content of courses in track and field teaching.
