Abstract

This paper firstly states the facts of declining consumption demand and expanding income gap among residents,and then analyzing the quantitative relationship between them.Based on the data of Jini index and marginal consumption tendency,we explore the influence extent on the whole society consumption stagnation imposed by the income gap of Chinese residents.Finally,corresponding policy suggestions are proposed to dwindle the unreasonable income gap and stimulate the consumption demand of residents.
