Abstract
sulfur was prepared through reducing mixed gas of N_2 and sulfur dioxide with active carbon in a fixed bed reactor. The effects of reduction conditions such as reaction temperature, reaction time and content of mixed raw gas on sulfur dioxide conversion and sulfur yield were investigated. The results showed that sulfur yield of more than 85%and sulfur dioxide conversion of more than 95%were reached when reaction temperature was 800℃,and reaction time was 14s.The purity of sulfur product was more than 97%.
