Abstract
By constructing regional innovation environment indicators and spatial econometric models on the panel-data of the year from 2004 to 2007,this paper empirically investigates China's regional innovation capability and its influence factors. The results show that: the spatial dependence of regional innovation capability gradually increases, and the spatial agglomeration phenomenon is distinct.RD inputs, the stock of accumulated knowledge and degree of marketization play significantly positive roles to regional innovation capability;human capital and the active level of technology exchange have unobvious effects in promoting regional innovation capacity;financial scale needs a certain lag period to elevate regional innovation capability, while the degree of opening-up currently has a significant negative impact on regional innovation capacity.
