Abstract

Objective To investigate the analgetic and adverse effects of pentazocine preemptive analgesia combined with intravenous propofol anesthesia in induced abortion. Methods 90 women with a pregnant duration of 6 to 10 weeks(ASA class Ⅰ ~ Ⅱ) who volunteered to receive a painless artifical abortion, were randomly assigned to 3 groups.Women in group A were given anintravenous injection of pentazocine 30 mg followed by 1% propofol.Group B were given anintravenous injection of fentanyl 1 μg·kg-1 followed by 1% propofol.Group C:propofol alone. The following items were observed:induction time, the time needed for awakening, the time needed for leaving the hospital, the total dosage of propofol, analgesic effects, the change of vital signs, and adverse events. Results Compared with group C,the induction time for group A and B were significantly shorter, and the total dosage of propofol were lower(P 0.05).There was no significant difference in the time needed for awakening or leaving the hospital among the 3 groups.Group B had the highest incidence of respiratory depression among the 3 groups(P 0.05).The VAS in group A and B were significantly lower than that in group C(P 0.05).Conclusion Pentazocine preemptive analgesia combined with intravenous propofol is safe and effective for anesthesia during induced abortion.
