Abstract
PPO activity, total phenol and chlorogenic acid content were measured in Chinese red pine(Pinus massoniana Lamb) derived from Hengyang and Guangxi after inoculation with pine wood nematode(Bursaphelenchus xylophilus,PWN).The result denoted that along with the process of the time after PWN inoculation, the PPO activity in the tested materials showed rising trend, its changeable range and speed in disease-resistant variety were higher and faster than those in susceptible variety. At the same time,in comparison with susceptible Chinese red pine,disease-resistant Chinese red pine could accumulate more total phenol and chlorogenic acid, and keep high concentration for a long time.As a result, the changes of phenol content and PPO activity in the needle-leaf of Chinese red pine were significantly correlated with the resistance to PWN.
