Abstract

The most extensive used protocol in computer network management is SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol). The security mechanism is a very important item in SNMP network management. This article first introduces the architecture model of SNMP network management,and then discusses the content and development process of the security mechanisms of SNMPv1,S-SNMP and SNMPv2 respectively.
