Abstract
Aesthetic education is an important part of full development education, It's necessary to strengthen aesthetic education in English and American literature teaching. English and American literature teachers should stick to their positions and make full use of advantages of English and American literature in aesthetic education to give aesthetic education to students with beauty of ideology, beauty of image, beauty of art and beauty of nature as the main contents and help students to form correct aesthetic values and good aesthetic abilities
