Abstract
A field experiment was conducted with different transplanting densities (3.0×105,3.6×105 and 4.5×105 sockets/hm2) and nitrogen fertilizer rates(0,120,150 and 180kgN/hm2)by using an early hybrid rice W-Liangyou 3418 as material. The ni- trogen fertilizer rate had significant effect on number of productive panicles and less effect on grain number per panicle, seed setting rate and 1000-grain weight. The grain yields between different nitrogen fertilizer rates were significantly different. The transplanting densities had less effect on seed setting rate, grain number per panicle and 1000-grain weight. The grain yields between different transplanting densities were also significantly different. The milling and appearance quality of rice were improved by increasing nitrogen fertilizer rate. The transplanting densities had significant effect on grain quality of W-Liangyou 3418.
