Abstract

Three types of mixed forest and three types of pure forest with Cunninghamia lanceolata,Pinus massoniana and Schima superba were afforested in the forestland of C.lanceolata clear-cutted.The growth effect, stand biomass and soil chemical and physical properties of different forest stands were analyzed after 16 years afforestation. The results showed that the mixed forest with C.lanceolata,P.massoniana and S.superba is much better than other types in growth, stand biomass, stand structure and soil improvement. The stand structure of the mixed forest with the 3 tree species was reasonable and helpful to improve the inner environment, soil quality and fertility which promoted the forest growth. The stand volume of mixed forest with 3 species was higher than pure forest and mixed forest with 2 species, reached to 45.13%-127.03% and 15.27%-30.63% respectively.
