Abstract

The genetic diversity of Medicago ruthenica in the different regions of Inner Mongolia was analyzed by inter simple sequence(ISSR) markers.363 bands were amplified from 8 natural populations by 15 reliable primers.A high level of genetic diversity was revealed. The Nei's gene diversity index was 0.198 9 and the Shannon diversity index was 0.303 7.The total gene diversity was 0.308 6,while the gene diversity within population was 0.198 9,64.45% of genetic variation existed within population, while 35.55% of genetic variation existed among populations. The genetic differentiation coefficient was 0.355 5.The gene flow was 0.906 4 and 8 populations had fewer gene exchange, the heredity differentiation were strongly. The UPGMA dendrogram indicated that populations with similar ecological and geographical conditions were clustered firstly.
