Abstract

[Objective] The research aims to study current status and countermeasures for exploitation and utilization of water resources in Yuan'an County,Yichang City,Hubei Province. [Method]Based on analyzing basic characteristics of water resources and current status of utilization in Yuan'an County,the existing problems in sustainable utilization of water resources in the region are put forward,and corresponding feasible countermeasures are proposed. [Result] Water resources in Yuan'an County are rich,but its total utilization rate is low. There are many problems existing in exploitation and utilization of water resources,such as water source pollution,soil erosion and so on. [Conclusion]For the existing problems,we propose several feasible countermeasures,and hope to provide scientific basis for rational development and utilization of water resources in Yuan'an County.
