Abstract
Objective To summarize the early postoperative renal function changes in living-related renal donors of different age groups. Methods The clinical data of 69 donors′ preoperative and postoperative serum creatinine(Cr) in our hospital from January 2006 to March 2008 were collected and analyzed retrospectively. Results Sixty-nine donors were at the average age of 45.3.Preoperative blood Cr overall average value was(64±14)μmol/L.In group below 30 years old,the preoperative Cr average value was(63±11)μmol/L,while an average of(90±15)μmol/L in the first day after surgery. The average value was(82±12)μmol/L in the 10th postoperative day. There was no clear statistical significance between the two days(P=0.136).In donors from 30 to 49 years old,the data were(66±16)μmol/L,(100±22)μmol/L,(90±20)μmol/L,respectively.In comparison, there appeared obvious statistical significance(P=0.0054).As for group of 50 to 59 years old,the data were(63±12)μmol/L,(103±29)μmol/L and(87±19)μmol/L respectively. There was evident statistical difference(P=0.006).Conclusion ①Serum creatinine after living renal transplantation surgery will be significantly increased, and with the age rising, the range of fluctuation increases gradually. But it can decline slowly in the 10th day after the surgery, obviously in those donors from 30 to 59 years old.②The kidney compensatory ability of donors at the age of 30 to 59 is superior to those above 60 or below 30 years old.
