Abstract
By gathering the related technical data of the Euro 2004 and the data from the 11th Euro Cup and the 17th FIFA World Cup, an approach to the application of offensive tactics in present soccer games is made. The result shows that team defensive and offensive and fast offensive and defensive tactics played key role at the Euro 2004, while fast attack is a decisive factor in the game. The tactics of side field attack, stationary ball and corner ball are given more attention.
