Abstract
This paper presents an improved off-line e-cash system with controllable anonymity based on Jules's trustee-based tracing mechanism. The system ensures the user to make a digital signature of would-be payment by his own secret code but the e-cash somehow owned legally or illegally to fail to spend. And the bank is off-line when the user spends e-cash,and the TTP is also off-line when the user applies for e-cash.All the functions improve the safety and practicality of the system.
