On the Harmonious Relationship between Environmental Protection and Social Economic Development

In the face of increasingly serious conflicts between socio-economic development and the natural ecological environment, people have gradually recognized that, the natural environment, as a foundation for development of human being, has limited carrying capacity. Human’s economic activities are restricted by nature; the restriction is a limited, non-growth and closed material constraint of ecological system. Currently, the rapid development of China's economy is in a good momentum. However, environmental protection is still unable to maintain a harmonious development the economic growth. This paper discusses the issues of environmental protection and economic development, and proposes countermeasures on how to achieve the goal of harmonious development of economic and social and environmental protection.
