Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the applications of minimally invasive Percutaneous nephrolithotomy(MPCNL) in upper urinary tract Stones. Methods:From October 2005 to November 2006,60 patients with upper urinary Stones were submitted MPCNL.It was reviewer and evaluated. Results: Among 60 cases,58 achieved one-stage MPCNL,other 2 cases were charged to open operation,28 cases were free after one-stage MPCNL,18 cases were stone free second stage MPCNL,12 cases were stone free after third stage MPCNL.The total stone free rate was 86.67%.The average operation time was 150 minutes.Average 5 dais's time was need for nephrostomy tube in body, and average hospitalization was 10 days.Blood transfusion was need in 2 patients. In other 58 cases blood loss volume was about 30~200 mL with average of 70 mL;no major complication was occurrence. Conclusion: MPCNL is safe, minimally invasive, easy recovery, short hospitalization for treaties upper urinary stones.
