Abstract
The effects of different nitrogen levels on yield and quality of cucumber in the field were studied. The results showed that on the basis of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer the application of nitrogen fertilizer significantly increased yield, but nitrogen fertilizer production more than 450 kg/hm2 most significantly decreased yield. Nitrogen fertilizer had no apparent impact on health standards in cucumber, cucumber nitrate content standards in line with the raw food ( 432 mg/kg). Nitrogen levels on a great influence on the quality of cucumber, VC content, soluble protein in a certain range had increased, but with the further increase of nitrogen fertilizer they were declining, water-soluble sugar content in the range of 450-600 kg/hm2 had significantly increased. Considering crop yield, quality, production costs, human health and other factors, in this experimental conditions, cucumber nitrogen fertilizer rate of about 300 kg/hm2 was appropriate.
