Abstract
With modern painting progressing into a brand-new era,understanding the imbued aesthetic perceptions is the basis for the appreciation of modern paintings.Therefore,the paper mainly addresses itself to exploring major approaches to understanding and appreciating modern painting in the face of a plethora of different modern painting works,and argues that grasping the ideas guiding painters' creation is of the essence.
