Abstract
The efficiency of EFL teaching is largely determined by students' learning attitude and method.This article reviews the recent research on learner autonomy at home and abroad and explains the necessity and feasibility of fostering learner autonomy for foreign language learning in China.Appropriate advices are given on how to improve Chinese students' learner autonomy.
