Abstract
Carbon paste electrode is made of solid paraffin and is used to study the voltammetric behavior of nitrobenzene. An electrochemical method is developed for the determination of nitrobenzene in water by square wave voltammetry under the selected detection conditions. The result of the experiment indicates that there is a very good square wave voltammetric peak at about-0.75 V(vs.SCE).In the range of 0.1—5.0 and 5.0—100 mg·L-1,there is a satisfying liner relationship between the concentration of nitrobenzene and the peak current of square voltammetry, and the detection limit of nitrobenzene is 0.031 mg·L-1.
