Disorder of both phlegm and stasis is the main pathogenic factor of many chronic and senile diseases. It is a basic therapeutic guideline to treat both phlegm and stasis simultaneously. Disorder of Qi activity is not only the common origin basis of phlegm and stasis but also the secondary to the disorder of phlegm and stasis, which are interdetermined. In the treatment, attention must be paid to promoting, invigorating Qi, and selecting herbs as well as their ratio.
