An Analysis of Ouyang Xun's Attitude to "Xikun" Poetic Style

Ouyang Xiu was not opposed to early style of Xikun poetry,but took a positive attitude towards its narrative features.The reason why the critics of later generations believed that Ouyang Xiu was against the style of Xikun poetry is that Xinkun poets of later period took up a different style,that is the style turned from narration to weirdness.When the critics did not realize the difference between the styles of the two periods,a misinterpretation arises on the issue of Xikun style.
