Abstract
Reduction surface longitudinal crack of slab contribute to improving the quality of hot rolled plate. The formation causes of surface longitudinal crack is closely related to steel components, mold level fluctuation, casting speed, immersion depth of nozzle, mold taper, mold powder, superheat. Based on the quality data analysis in single strand caster of BX STEEL, several aspects control measures of the above are proposed and slab surface quality is improved significantly.
