Abstract

Objective To evaluate the relationship among the macular hole stage, duration, hole diameter and best corrected visual acuity after vitrectomy. Methods All of 17 patients(18 eyes) underwent vitrectomy combined retinal internal limiting membrane peeling surgery.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the relevance of the course, hole diameter and postoperative corrected visual acuity.Spearman rank correlation analysis was used to analyze the relevance of staging and postoperative corrected visual acuity. Results After three months, among 18 eyes,OCT showed 14 holes closed;visual acuity of 16 eyes increased to varying degrees, and visual acuity of two eyes were same as preoperative.Hole diameter, course of disease, macular hole stage were negatively correlated with postoperative corrected visual acuity(r=-0.756,P=0.00;r=-0.744,P=0.00;r=-0.576,P=0.012,respectively).Conclusion Early vitrectomy combined with retinal internal limiting membrane peeling surgery can achieve better efficacy for the patients with macular hole above phase Ⅱ.
