Abstract
The cable-supported concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge is a new bridge type developed on the basis of the truss type hybrid arch bridge by combining various techniques and making full advantages of the concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge,truss arch bridge and cable-stayed bridge.In this paper,through analytic study of the deformation and internal forces of the overall cable-supported concrete-filled steel tube arch bridge under the action of dead load,the basic feature of the bridge has been obtained,that is,the bridge is a kind of structural system with its concrete-filled steel tube arch ribs working as the major carrying components.
