Study on antioxidant activities of total flavonoids from lavandula angustifolia of Xinjiang

Lavandula angustifolia is one species of genus Lavandula,which belongs to Labiatae.It is a precious Chinese herbal medicines and food spices.It's rich in Yili of Xinjiang.Flavonoid from Lavandula angustifolia is a new developing resource of natural plant flavonoids.It has received broad attention from all over the world because of its anti-free radical,anti-oxidation and protection of the biological activity of cardiovascular and other effects.In order to investigate the characteristic of Lavandula angustifolia,this paper was designed to systematically research antioxidant activity from Lavandula angustifolia flavonoids,which was extracted from Yili of Xinjiang.The experimental results showed that lavender total flavonoids can effectively scavenge superoxide anion,EC50was 60μg/mL;nd hydroxyl radical,EC50was 182μg/mL;It could also effectively clear the DPPH,EC50was 189μg/mL.Results:Lavender total flavonoids had strong antioxidant activities,which could be used as multifunction antioxidants and whose application was very extensive.
