Abstract
Objective To explore different time of setting up rehabilitation training on shoulder joint function recovery among patients with traumatic rotator cuff injury after arthroscopy, thus to provide the basis for setting up the time of rehabilitation training. Methods 59 patients with traumatic rotator cuff injury after arthroscopic surgery, admitted to hospital between September 2006 and November 2008,were divided into observation group(29 cases) and control group(30 cases). Both groups were treated with normal anti-inflammation,detumescence,blood flow promotion with ginkgo biloba needle and short and low frequency pulse therapy.According to rehabilitation program, rehabilitation training was given to patients in observation group on the 1st day after arthroscopy, postoperative rehabilitation training on shoulder function given to patients in control group using conservative methods 6 weeks after operation.Constant-Murley score was adopted to evaluate the function of shoulder. Results Although the pain and activities of daily living at the 4th week of the two groups didn' t have significant differences(P0.05),pain,activities of daily living, shoulder and muscle activity in observation group at the 8th,12th,16th,20th all had better performance than in control group(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusion For patients with traumatic rotator cuff injury after arthroscopy,in principle, the sooner the painless shoulder function exercise, the better the recovery effect will be.
