Abstract

The (2+1)-dimensional Lax-Kadomtsev-Petviashvili(Lax-KP) equation is considered by using Lie group analysis method.Symmetries,similarity reductions,group invariant solutions and new exact solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional Lax-Kadomtsev-Petviashvili(Lax-KP) equation are obtained.
