Abstract
In order to improve the quality and yield of middle-sized tomato cultivars planted in the greenhouse and to screen out the cultivars meeting the different cultivation demands in Tianjin,a series of indexes of eight introduced tomato cultivars were investigated, including the characteristics, yield, flavor, rigidity and soluble solid content, taking Baili as control. The results showed that both Jiena and Chitao possessed better comprehensive performances.Though the yield of Site was not that high,it had good quality and flavor, thus it was suitable for fresh eating.Peasants could choose different cultivars according to their cultivation objectives.
