Abstract
Adsorption kinetics and thermodynamics of Ni2+ in solution was studied.Kinetic studies indicated that Ni2+ adsorption onto resin D113 conforms to pseudo-first-order equation and pseudo-second-order equation. The adsorption was controlled by pore diffusion. In the experimental temperature, thermodynamic studies indicated that Ni2+ adsorption onto resin D113 conforms to Langmuir adsorption isotherm.Heat of adsorption value of 15.1306kJ/mol indicated the radioactive nature of adsorption process.A decrease of Gibbs free energy with increasing temperature also indicated the spontaneous nature of the process.
