Abstract
In this paper,we use logarithmic mean Divisia index(LMDI) technique to decompose regional energy intensity changes for the period 1995-2005.We find that the dominant contributor to the decline of total energy intensity is the technological change within regions, which is shown as the accumulated energy intensity within region.
